haken - affinitour 2016 (berlin)

Bei Musik bin ich nicht so richtig "hinterher" was die Aktualität angeht und mir reicht oft auch ein guter Radiosender für die Beschallung. Zufällig entdeckte ich also das neue Album von Haken, hörte rein und fand's ganz reizend. Weil mir das letzte Konzert (über das ich gar nicht gebloggt habe - sträflich!) schon so gefallen hatte, dachte ich mir das ich der Band bei dieser Tour auch wieder gern einen Besuch abstatten würde - irgendwann im Herbst dann, bildete ich mir ein... aber nein, sie waren schon im Juni in Berlin und einen Tag vorm Ausverkauf konnte ich noch Tickets ergattern. Juhu!

In der Berliner Kulturbrauerei ging's also in den schönen kleinen Saal des Maschinenhauses. Es gab zwei Vorbands und die erste ließ uns gleich noch einmal eine Pause an der frischen Luft einlegen. Arkentype war einfach nicht mein Fall. Rendezvous Point war schon besser und lieferte eine schöne Einstimmung auf den Hauptdarsteller des Abends. "Affinity" hat einige starke 80er-Anleihen (hört mal hier rein>>>) und als der Sänger dann auch noch die passende blinkende Brille aufsetzte, war das Jubeln groß. Dass es bei Konzerten leider auch Besucher gibt, die den ganzen Spaß stören, kann man nicht ändern, war aber zwischendrin richtig nervend... schade. Haken ist wirklich eine unglaublich gute Live-Band und die musikalischen Fähigkeiten der einzelnen Mitglieder sind einfach mitreißend - über zwei Stunden wippte ich fröhlich im Takt und war glücklich über die Songauswahl (es gab nur zwei Lieder, die nicht zu meinen Favoriten gehörten). 

When it comes to music i am never really on track with the latest stuff and often i am happy enough with just a good radio station. I rather stumbled upon the new album by Haken, listened to it and found it lovely. As i'd already enjoyed their last concert (which i didn't blog about - why?!) i felt like seeing them again during this year's tour - some day in autumn then i thought... but no, they performed in Berlin in June already and one day before the concert sold out i was able to grab some tickets. Yeah!

In Berlin's Kulturbrauerei we hopped in to the cozy location Maschinenhaus. There were two supports and the first gave us the opportunity to go back outside again to have some fresh air. Arkentype was just not my cup of tea. Rendezvous Point was already better and great to get into the mood for the main act. "Affinity" has a strong 1980ies influence (listen to this e.g. >>>) and when the singer put on some fitting blinking sunglasses everyone cheered. Some people amongst the crowd were spoiling the fun unfortunately - a thing which you can't really change but was very annoying at times... bummer. Haken is really an incredible live band and the musical abilities of its members are simply captivating - for more than two hours i was happily swaying and felt so delighted by the set list (there were only two songs that i don't care too much about).
