green snapshots: tillandsia

My thumb is still not really green but i really love to have plants around me. Fee (from Fee ist mein Name >>>) brought my attention to Tillandsia and finally some of them moved in with me. There are tons of different kinds and i just can't remember all their names. Scatter brain. They're simply really beautiful and i hope that they'll survive here...

japan in berlin: j-store

I just can't enough! Fortunately you can experience a little Japan in Berlin as well - Charlottenburg quarter offers some Japanese restaurants and shops. J-Store has Manga, Anime and some cute Merch in stock but you can also find clothing, a typical photobooth (purikura) and Japanese sweets (Matcha-Kitkat ftw!).

gardens of the world, berlin

As the "Gardens of the World" in Berlin-Marzahn have more to offer than the cherry blossom festival>>> and the Japanese & Korean garden i want to show you some more of the other areas. The tea-house in the Chinese garden is a delight e.g., the Oriental garden was enchanting me with ranunculas and a labyrinth is always fun... i am sure this place is also well worth the visit in summer.

... und blumige Grüße an all die April-Geburtstagskinder!

hanami at berlin's "gardens of the world"

Even though i'll take a break from posting about my trip we're still kind of staying in Japan... i somehow feel that Japan is seriously "trendy" right now. Not only am i discovering more of Japan in Berlin but also a lot of people that i follow on Instagram travelled there as well (of course after me - i am such a trend setter! :D). Since the end of March Sakura and Hanami everywhere. Has it always been like that?!
Last weekend we finally visited the "Gardens of the World" in Berlin-Marzahn while they were hosting a cherry blossom festival. Besides admiring the new blossoms (Hanami) there was also a stage showing Japanese and Korean art (like dances), Asian food (and other goods) and wonderfully dressed up people (Cosplay ftw)... it was a rather cold day but the sun kept shining and we had a nice day discovering the different gardens (more about those tomorrow!).
