amsterdam by boat - grachten tour

Den Post letzte Woche zum Thema "Body Image" habe ich mir immer wieder durchgelesen und mich gefragt, wie er verstanden wird... bevor ich mir aber weiter den Kopf zerbreche, geht's einfach weiter hier. 

Der Regen draußen macht es mir einfach, mit euch ins Boot zu hüpfen und auf Grachtenfahrt durch Amsterdam zu gehen. Das Wetter war genauso doof, aber man will ja doch etwas von der Stadt sehen... ich fand's schön, auch wenn die Aussicht von Regentropfen getrübt wurde. Der Kapitän war sehr amüsant und hat neben den regulären Ansagen (hach, was fühle ich mich toll, wenn ich drei davon verstehen kann!) ab und zu zusätzliche Informationen rausgehauen. Besonders sein in Pilotenstimme gehauchtes "Achtung. Dies ist ein Foto-Moment. Gleich kommt ein toller Foto-Moment." hat schon Einzug in unseren täglichen Sprachgebrauch gehalten. Herrlich!

I read and re-read my last post about body image again and again - wondering how people would react... but i decided to just go on blogging now before i think about it too much.

The current rain outside makes it easier for me to just jump on a boat with you and go on a tour of the famous Amsterdam grachten (canals). The weather sucked but you still wanna see the city... i really liked it even though raindrops sometimes clouded the view. The captain was fun and in addition to the regular (taped) explanations (oh, it made me feel so good to understand three of the languages!) he added some stuff here and there. Especially his "Attention, ladies and gentlemen. This is a photo moment. Photo moment coming up." spoken more like the captain of a plane already is part of our everyday language now. Wonderful!
