the lakes of my teenage years...

I have moved quite a lot during my life (and i am looking for a new place again right now). For my parents that was always a questions as to what's available and matching the current needs of course, but once i'd been born we pretty much stayed in the same area. My brother was lucky enough to call dreamy Weimar (you know, that lovely place that has its importance for things like literature (Goethe, Schiller), culture (Bauhaus) and history (Weimarer Republik) in Germany) his place of birth as my mother was studying there at the time. Mine doesn't sound as nice and i cannot even remember having visited Weimar once.
When my parents decided to built a house of their own i suddenly found myself living in the countryside where i spend my teenage years beeing pretty much the only girl of my age in that tiny village. At least we had good public transport and even our own little station so i could take the train to the next big city (where i went to school as well). Weather permitting i still love to take a little bike tour through the forrest and lakes. When the sun is shining you feel like going on holidays five minutes away from the house.
I love to watch the change of seasons there. Sitting on a bench close to the water, watching ducks, swans, herons and the occasional fish popping up. I still need some water wherever i live today... there has to be at least some river in the city where i live.
Well, that was a lot of information when i actually just wanted to show you some of the nature that looks kind of funny right now. Spring hasn't arrived yet but it hasn't a feel of winter either. Weird light and strange colours...
