Am ersten Mai schenkt man sich in Frankreich einen kleinen Strauß Maiglöckchen, die Glück symbolisieren sollen. In der sog. "Sprache der Blumen" stehen die Maiglöckchen für die Rückkehr von Glück... ich war in jedem Fall überrascht, als bei uns allen im Büro diese Woche Maiglöckchen auf den Plätzen standen. Foufou ist begeistert vom Geruch und lässt sie gleich als "Freudenbringer" auf ihrem Schreibtisch stehen. Ich denke morgen kommt zum Gieß-Ritual noch Gesprächstherapie dazu. Alle anderen boten ein lustiges Bild, als sie mit ihren Blümchen nach Hause pilgerten. Mich hat´s in jedem Fall gefreut und ich bin gespannt, wie lange die überleben.

In France people are giving each other little bouquets of lillies of the valley for the first of May that are representing happiness. In the so-called "language of flowers" those lillies of the valley are a symbol for the return of happiness... Anyway, i was really surprised to find those on my desk at the office this week. Foufou was seriously enthusiastic about the smell and left them on the desk as constant "bringers of joy". I guess tomorrow the watering ritual will be added by some talking to them. All the others took theirs and we must have looked funny together when we pilgrimaged home with our flowers. I was really happy about it and i am eager to see if and how long they will survive.
