rötzer - der wachsmann

Mir fällt erst jetzt auf, dass der Autor dieses Buches einen irgendwie schrägen Namen hat... Richard Rötzer. Nun ja... auch beim "Wachsmann" handelt es sich einmal mehr um eine Leihgabe. 

Zu Beginn des 14. Jahrhunderts ist München eine aufstrebende Stadt, aber leider wird sie von einer Serie mysteriöser Morde heimgesucht, die sogar auf eine Verschwörung gegen den König Ludwig hindeuten. Der Pfleger der Flößerlände Peter versucht den unheimlichen Vorgängen auf die Spur zu kommen und begegnet dabei dem vollen Alltag des Mittelalters aus Aberglauben, christlichen Riten und Ständedünkel einer Stadt.

Zunächst fiel mir der Einstieg in das Buch nicht leicht, aber nach ca. zwanzig Seiten war ich eingetaucht in die Stadt, den spannenden Kriminalfall und die mittelalterliche Welt, die in einer Mischung aus gut recherchierten Fakten und Fiktion dargestellt wird. Spannend, unterhaltsam und eine durchaus nette Lektüre.

Once again i have read a book that Christiane gave to me... and it was just when i started writing this post when i  realized how strange the author's name is... Richard Rötzer.

At the beginning of the 14th century Munich is a prospering city but unfortunately it is plagued by a series of mysterious murders. Even a conspiracy against the king Ludwig might be involved. The keeper of the rafter operations, Peter, tries to track down those sinister actions and encounters all facettes of the daily life during the middle ages... christian rites, superstition and the fighting among the different classes of a city.

At the beginning i had a hard time getting into the story but after about 20 pages i was deeply within the story... the city, the really exciting case and the world of the middleages that is described in a mixture of facts and fiction. Thrilling, entertaining and a really nice read.

Unfortunately i could not find the English version of this book...
